Local resident Christine Pomeroy was named a ‘Sporting Champion’ at a garden party hosted by EDDC Chairman Andrew Moulding on 16 July. She was nominated for all the support she gives to local sporting activities. She is the Chair of the Musbury Short Mat Bowls club and puts considerable energy into making it a success. She’s also a member of the team at Lyme Regis with her husband and son (who has been picked to play for England). While she’s not playing bowls she plays badminton and goes to Pilates classes; she’s a member of the boules team for the local pub and she runs a keep fit class.
