Musbury’s War Memorial now has listed status

As part of Historic England’s First World War Commemoration project, Musbury’s war memorial has been added to the List of Buildings of Special Architectural or Historic Interest. It is listed at Grade ll.

DCMS reported “This is a simple, well-proportioned example of the panel or shrine type of war memorial, in the Classical style. Standing in a prominent position in close proximity to the Grade I-listed parish church and Grade II-listed Musbury Farm House, it commemorates those local servicemen who died in the First World War. It has
additional historic interest through the later Second World War dedication.
