Thanks to a generous grant from the Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All programme, Musbury has new digital kit. The new laptop, printer and digital projector will enable the Council to improve its communications so that more residents can become involved in future plans for the community. The projector will also be available to local clubs and societies to improve their presentations.
The application for the grant was made by Cllr Janet Albano working with the Clerk, Jane Bishop. Jane said ‘ Now that we have taken delivery of the new equipment it will enable me to keep the business of the council separate from my personal work. It will also mean that we’ll be able to show key documents at meetings so that people know what’s being discussed. It should make an enormous difference, particularly if we can get Wi-Fi installed in the Village Hall. That’s something for the future’.

The NHS Trust responsible for Axminster Hospital is now running a public consultation until 30 December 2014. There are 4 consultation questions to answer, designed to garner opinion on their preferred choices to ensure safe staffing in the hospital. Even if you have already written in or signed the petitions it’s important that your voice is officially recorded. The feedback form and the full consultation document, which explains the Trust’s thinking and the options considered, are available to download on their website. Hard copies can be collected from Reception at Axminster and Seaton hospitals.
