The Art of the Devon Garden

Something a bit different for Musbury Garden Club. Dr Todd Gray, author and historian,  will use art to look at the garden history of Devon. As gardening developed, so too did the depiction of  plants and gardens in art.  Using a variety of historical images, on glass, pottery, fabric, wood  stone, paper and canvas –he will show how  illuminated manuscripts, medieval vestments, Jacobean carved wood, Georgian porcelain and Victorian stained glass can give us a visual history of Devon’s gardens.

The talk will start as usual at 7.30pm
