Scarecrow making workshop

Get tips on making your scarecrow for the Scarecrow Festival and Open Art Studios event to be held later in the summer on the weekend of 14/15 July.
Simon Winward , who has masterminded many a scarecrow in his time, will be on hand to offer advice on the best way to build your scarecrow.
Start collecting newspaper for stuffing, old clothes, bamboo or other garden sticks, tissue paper, paint and wol. plastic bottles, chicken wire, plastic bags and bubble wrap now.
You can make any sort of scarecrow you like – the choice of character is wide open.
There will be prizes for the adult and the child who have made the scarecrows nominated as their favourite by the people who visit.
