Plant Names And How They Came About

Local resident and semi-retired botanist, Mike Lock, will kick off the new year with a talk which will help us understand better how plant names are formed and what some of them mean. Latin names often confuse and irritate us gardeners, so Mike’s knowledge will be most welcome and aid our choice of plants in the future.
