Bees and the Gardener
Monday 11th May 2015 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Bees are very important to us. They pollinate the vegetables and fruits we eat directly, as well as the food for the animals that we consume. Honey and wax are two other important products that come courtesy of bees. But honey bees are disappearing globally at an alarming rate due to pesticides, parasites, disease and habitat loss. In this evening’s talk local bee-keeper Gerald Fisher will show what gardeners can do to encourage bees into their gardens
The talk will start as usual at 7.30pm
NB Refreshments available from 7pm BEFORE the talk.
